RESTAURANT REVIEW: GRILLS @ CHILL'O

Winter is coming, for a few short months, and Grills @ Chill’O quickly jumped on the opportunity to introduce their Mashawi Night, which takes place every Friday, bringing an authentic Arabic barbecue night outdoors by the pool, while you get to watch the sunset, enjoy the soft breezes and the great ambience.

I had the good fortune to spend a wonderful evening with the best company recently, where we indulged in their delicious food options. You have three to choose from of charcoal grilled mashawis: meat, seafood or mixed, and they are served complete with delectable cold mezzeh and a selection of Arabic sweets, all for AED 199 per person. 

The meat and seafood is served at your table on a small transportable grill that is still smoking, carrying the delicious aroma with it. The chicken was hands down my favorite, cooked and marinated to perfection, sizzling with spices and melting in your mouth. The lamb chops were a close second, but I admit I wasn’t a huge fan of the kebabs.

The seafood ranged from fresh hammour, to prawns to scrumptious lobster. All cooked so perfectly and looking so good that you really can’t decide where to start! I confess, I snuck a bite of the lobster, while they were still serving the rest of the platters. I couldn’t help myself, and oh my Lord, how good it was. Prawns, on the other hand, are wonderful when grilled and these ones had me lip-smacking and reluctant to share!

Definitely worth spending a Friday evening with your family and friends by the pool while you take in the lovely weather and mouthwatering food. Make the most of this weather by being outdoors and head over there to try it for yourselves!
