CHOCOLATE CORNFLAKE CLUSTERS
This is, by far, the easiest dessert requiring a minimum of only 2 ingredients and is sure to satisfy your sweet tooth! It takes no time with zero preparation and is such fun to make with your little ones!
INGREDIENTS
Cornflakes
Chocolate, roughly chopped
Dried fruit or nuts - optional
PREPARATION
1. Break up the chocolate bar (dark, semi-sweet or milk) into small pieces in a large bowl and melt in the microwave in 30 second intervals.
2. Once the chocolate is completely melted and smooth, add plain cornflakes to the bowl and mix until well-combined and coated. The quantity of cornflakes depends on you and how much you would like them to be coated.
3. For extra flavor, add some dried fruit or crushed hazelnuts.
4. Once everything is mixed well, scoop up bites and place them in mini muffin tins.
5. Refrigerate until set and then pop them out and enjoy!
Notes:
For the chocolate, you can use any flavor or brand, but I found that the more mainstream brands (such as Cadbury or Galaxy) mix better with the cornflakes and add a much sweeter flavor.
You can use different flavors as well, such as white chocolate, peanut butter, caramel or anything else you prefer!
You could choose to add nuts or dried fruits, or simply use a chocolate bar that already contains nuts and dried fruits.
The cornflakes can be any flavor you desire, I usually use plain because the chocolate and other ingredients add the flavor. However, you could use cereal that is more nutty, or with honey or cinnamon, or even the one that comes with berries. I'm sure it would taste delicious!
